The 2014 Cadillac China Exhibition of Design and Art made its debut in Century Park, Shanghai, on the evening of May 30, under the theme "Excellency," with the Pink Kitten designed by Florentijn Hofman opening the ceremony, reports the website of the Xinmin Evening News, a Shanghai based newspaper. Hofman is the designer of the renowned Rubber Duck which has toured internationally. Pink Kitten is his first creation to visit China after the display of Rubber Duck in Beijing in 2013.
This exhibition will present nine representative Cadillacs, including the 1907 Model M, the 1948 Fleetwood 60 Special, the 1985 Cadillac Seville and three Cadillacs currently in production, the Cadillac Escalade ESV, the Cadillac CTS, and the Cadillac ELR. The nine cars will bring the viewers back through the one hundred year history of the model. In addition, artists from China and elsewhere including Zhou Chun-ya, Zheng lu, Xu Zhongmin, Wang Yuyang, Gao Weigang, and Lou Nanli will display their artworks at the event.
The exhibition will run until June 30.
