Miami Heat forward Chris Andersen was scheduled to arrive in Taiwan late Tuesday for a visit during which he will share his NBA experience with local players.
On Aug. 15, Andersen will share with high school and professional basketball players how his team won the 2012-2013 NBA Championship and encourage young players to pursue their dreams, according to local sports firm Bros Sports.
The Birdman will also visit the Pavilion of Dreams at the Taipei Expo Park with children supported by a local charity on Aug. 16.
In other basketball news, Denver Nuggets point guard Nate Robinson will attend the NBA 3X Taiwan tournament in Taichung on Aug. 24, Bros Sports said.
The NBA 3X Taiwan is a 3-on-3 tournament in which teams compete in five different divisions. Each division has a different top prize, with the highest NT$50,000 (US$1,665).
