The NASDAQ delisted China's CDC Software Corp on Dec. 12, the company becoming the 28th Chinese firm to be delisted from the market this year, while another 229 companies remain listed.
Our sister newspaper Commercial Times reported that the company's financial statement for the second quarter, which was released in August, showed that the company had lost a total of US$3.77 million for the first half of this year.
CDC received NASDAQ's delisting notice, which was dated on Nov. 17, on Nov. 24. The notice said that NASDAQ staff members, exercising their discretionary authority, have determined to delist the CDC's securities based on public interest concerns under NASDAQ Listing Rule 5101 and the company's failure to timely file its annual report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year of 2010, as required by Listing Rule 5250.
Trading in the company's securities has been halted by NASDAQ since Oct. 5.
