A Shenzhen company in south China's Guangdong province bought 10 Mercedes C180 sedans as the year-end bonus for its top 10 employees, reports the Guangzhou-based Southern Metropolis Daily.

"We sent 10 VW Golfs in July. This time, we want to send something different," a spokeswoman for the company said.

As an incentive for good work, the high-tech company — which designs control systems for unmanned helicopters — organizes an election whereby its 500 employees can nominate colleagues to win the 10 vehicles.

The winners will be allowed full use of the car but the company will hold on to the ownership until the employees work at the company for another five years.

The spokeswoman said that all of the 10 vehicles will be delivered to the winners no later than Dec. 16. "We are still hiring. I hope that more talent will consider to join us," the spokeswoman added.
